Signing is free and always will be. Boosting is something else: paying so the cause reaches more people.

What a boost is

A boost is a small contribution with which Causfy pays to spread that cause: ads and reach so more people see it and more people sign it. Causes that receive boosts go much further.
The organiser does not receive this money. Causfy collects it and spends all of it on spreading the cause. The receipt is issued by Causfy. A boost is not a donation to whoever organises the cause nor to any organisation.

Where to boost

  • On the cause page, with the Help boost this cause button under the statistics.
  • Right after signing, on the thank-you screen.
  • From the link in your signature confirmation email.

The steps

Choose your boost

5, 10, 20 or 50 euros, or Other amount between 3 and 500. Above it you see how many people have already boosted the cause and the next goal.

Pay by card

Press Boost with… and the secure card payment opens. Cryptocurrency payments will come later.

Thank you for your boost

Your boost is added to the cause’s counter and appears on its page as New boost, without your name or the amount. You will receive the receipt by email.

Worth knowing

  • It is anonymous by design. The portal does not store your name when you boost: only Causfy, as the party collecting the payment, has the payment details.
  • The organiser only sees how many boosts the cause has received, never how much or from whom.
  • You can boost without having signed, and more than once.
  • You must be of legal age to pay, or have the authorisation of a parent or guardian, under the Terms and Conditions. To sign, being 14 is enough.
  • If the payment stays processing, the portal checks it by itself; if the charge went through, it is counted within a few minutes.

A boost is not a donation

Some causes do not collect signatures but funds: there, what you give goes to the cause and whoever organises it answers for its use. That is a donation, and it is made from the donate button on those causes. The boost exists on every cause and always pays for reach, never goes to the organiser.
