Fundraising is on hold. Today you cannot create fundraising causes (in the wizard, Raise funds shows as Coming soon) and the portal does not accept donations yet: the donate button shows Coming soon. You can set up card payments now so they are ready when it opens. More details
Payment methods belong to your account, not to a cause: you turn them on once and they will work for all the fundraising causes you have. They are in Configuration › Payments.

Configuration › Payments, before turning anything on. The wallet shows as Coming soon and card payments are not enabled.

Turning on payments does not make your cause receive money today: donations on the portal are coming soon. Whatever you do now will be ready for that moment.

Card payments

Card donations will go through Stripe, the company that processes the payments. You open a Stripe account from here and the money reaches yours; it does not pass through us.

Press Enable card payments

In Configuration › Payments, inside the Card payments block. Before going on you are asked to confirm it’s you, with the passkey or the two-step verification code you have turned on (if you have both, they are asked for one after the other). Then your account is created and Stripe opens.

Complete your details in Stripe

Stripe asks who you are, for your bank account and, depending on the case, for a document. It is their process, not ours, and it is required by law for anyone who receives payments.

Once Stripe approves you, in Payments you will see Card payments are active.

What you can see in Card payments

There are no status labels: the block tells you in a sentence. These are the four you may come across.
If Stripe restricts your account, you won’t be able to get paid until you sort it out. Stripe emails you with what is missing; we cannot resolve it for you.

When the money will arrive

Donations will build up in your Stripe account and Stripe will transfer them to your bank on the schedule you have set there. The payment gateway fees are charged by Stripe.

Wallet

Receiving donations directly in a crypto wallet shows on the same screen, marked Coming soon. It is not operational yet.

A specific cause’s bank account

Apart from the above, a fundraising cause may end up with its own bank account assigned for transfers. That is requested from the cause itself, not from here, and it has conditions. How it works
