# What happens during review

> Every cause goes through moderation before it is public. What is checked and what to do if it is rejected.

When you send the cause it is not published yet. It stays **under review**, and someone on the team reads it before it appears on the public portal.

That protects whoever signs and whoever donates: nobody collects support or money on the portal without going through it.

## The statuses of a cause

## What is checked

    A cause with no clear recipient or no specific request is sent back. It is not a bureaucratic requirement: it is what makes it work.

    Photos, texts and videos you have the right to publish. An image taken from the internet is your legal problem, not ours.

    You can ask something of a public official or a company. You cannot use the platform to harass a private individual or publish their details.

    In fundraising causes, what the money is for and who receives it. The more specific, the sooner it is approved.

## If it is rejected

You get the reason. It is not final: you fix what it points out and send it again. Most rejections are over something that takes five minutes to sort out, almost always a vague recipient or an image with no evidence of permission.

## Changes after it is approved

Fixing a typo or adding a photo does not block the cause again. Changing the recipient, the goal or the meaning of what you are asking can send it back for review: whoever already signed did so for what you were asking then.
